Understanding the Team

Team Building Activities – Understanding the Team is an activity that will help participants understand the personality types of each other.

By understanding the strength and weakness of each personality type, participants will be able to leverage on the strength of each individual and cover for each other’s weakness when working on a project together.

A DISC Personality Test Sheet (Download HERE!)
A DISC Facilitator Sheet (Download HERE!)

30 minutes


instructionsInstructions

1. Divide the participants into groups of 4 and 5.

2. Give an explanation or a short presentation on the DISC Personality Test. You can read about the DISC Personality Test.

3. Pass out the DISC Personality Test Sheet to the participants. This is a simple test to roughly gauge the personality type of each individual. The instructions are on the sheet.

4. Give them about 5-10 minutes to finish the sheet.

5. When they are done, use the DISC Facilitator Sheet to talk about each personality type and what their score means to them.

6. Allow each participant to share their findings with their group, and in the process, talk a little more about their working styles.

7. Conclude the exercise by talking a little more about how different styles can complement one another, or end in conflict.
