Leadership quotations: Isaac Newton had once said,
If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the shoulder of giants.
There’s also the saying that goes,” No man is an island.”
No matter how accomplished you are as a leader, you must never forget the importance of having mentors in your life.
Mentors are people that are stronger than you, be it character, spirituality, ability and so on. These ‘giants’ as Newton calls it, are absolutely essential companions in your life.
These are the people that challenge you; teach you; discipline you; keep you accountable for your life.
No matter how much character you think you possess, the day you’re not perfect is the day you need to grow and change.
While self-leadership would work, if you want the learning curve to be cut short by decades, you need a ‘giant’ in your life!
Remember what Newton says: to see farther than others, stand on the shoulder of your mentors and great men!
