Leadership Icebreakers - Truth or Lie is another simple icebreaker that you can play for the participants to get to know each other better with ‘wow’ facts about themselves.
• For icebreaking purposes
About 6 or more
One piece of paper per person
15 minutes
1. Divide the group into two teams. 2. All participants are to write down three facts about themselves on a piece of paper. 3. Of these three facts, two of them are truths and one of them must be a lie. 4. Then the first team sends their representative forward and faces the other team. 5. He reads out the three facts about himself and the other team is supposed to guess which one of the facts is a lie. 6. If the team guesses correctly, they score a point. If not, the representative’s team scores the point. 7. To make the game extremely fun and engaging, the participants should be encouraged to write really interesting facts about themselves. For eg. “ I have a twin brother who is 6 minutes older than me.”is a more interesting fact than, “I am 1.65 metres tall.” 8. The team with the highest score after all participants have gone forward wins the game.
1. What did you learn about your fellow participants from this exercise? 2. Name one fact you found most interesting about a particular person. Return from Truth or Lie to Leadership Icebreakers
