About Me
Lin Yihan

Hi, my name is Yihan and I reside in the sunny island of Singapore. I am from a family of six; I have three siblings, a twin brother and one other younger brother and sister.

I'm 27 this year, and I am running my own business in the travel industry. Having been part of a start-up, I have experienced the challenges that many leaders would face in the corporate setting.

I attend a local church called City Harvest Church, the 2nd largest church in Asia in terms of membership. It is a great church where I learnt a lot about God, life, leadership and most of all, I made a lot of great friends that I treasure so deeply in my heart.

In University, I was the President of a student-run volunteer organization, University-YMCA. As the name suggests, University-YMCA is a subsidiary of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), an Christian organization whose mission is to develop individuals in mind, body and spirit.

University-YMCA’s mission is to empower youth to be servant leaders who will impact our local and international communities. Currently, we have about 500 people who have been through our activities and about 60 core members of take lead in managing and running the programs

We do that through three avenues of service:

• Local Community Services – We go to centres where the less fortunate in society are and visit them to bring them cheer

• International Service Programs – We send teams overseas to countries like Cambodia, Vietnam and other countries to bring aid and education to the poor people

• Social Enterprise – We do and teach individuals how to successfully run businesses that have a social aim.

But most importantly, I see the importance to teaching my members the value of leadership in our world today. Through leading this organization, I see the importance of having more capable leaders in my team that can make an impact in their community, wherever they are.

It was through this understanding that I realized that a lot of the world is in need of true, ethical, socially responsible and capable leaders who can make a difference in this world. I realized that history is changed by its leaders.

It was then the vision for this website was born.

About this Website

I had started this website wanting it to be a great resource site about leadership, with articles teaching good leadership and great resources that other leaders in the world can tap on. So I had things like icebreaker ideas, which I realized leaders often needed to use to facilitate the beginning of a meeting.

I also added resources like video links and movies because I realized the power of a story. What we try to explain using theories and concepts can be much more easily achieved with a simple video, movie or just a story to illustrate we’re trying to bring across to our team.

I hope that this website will one day become a resource site for all kinds of leaders; whether you’re a business leader, a spiritual leader, a government leader, or a youth leader: I wanted this site to be relevant to you and have information and resources that you can tap on.

I want this website to eventually grow into a community, where leaders can openly interact with one another, share their ideas about leadership and team building and learn from one another.

I have learnt that leadership is a journey and that we need intimate allies who have a common goal for their lives.

No one can do it alone, especially leaders.

The leader is often lonely at the top, with no one to seek help; and sometimes no one to share frustration with.

That’s why I want this site to be a place where you and I can grow together, learn together and work towards become a more competent leader.

One day, I want to be someone of great positive influence in the world. I want to become a top business leader of leaders. I want to become someone that is able to influence great movements in the economy via the business leaders through things that I speak and write.

I believe that the world will change when a new generation of leaders is ready to rise up, take charge and bring the world into true progress.

And I want to lead that change.

About the Website Program

If you think I’m a computer geek who knows html from head to toe, you’re mistaken.

I have no prior html knowledge before I set up this site. One of my friends recommended this website program for me called Site Build It!. Site Build It! is a superb web program that helps you to create a website that actually attracts visitors.

Most websites people make don’t actually get seen by anyone else, but Site Build It! taught me how to build a website and market it such that people will visit and stay at the site. It also teaches people like me how we can use these sites to make a good passive income through great tools like Google Adsense.

If you have a passion you want to share with the world, and you don’t mind making a good income from writing and talking about it, I strongly recommend Site Build It! for you. It’s a web program with a superb business model; not your typical get-rich-quick schemes you hear so much nowadays on the internet.
